If you want to stay on the beach but would also like each access to Mykonos town then Agios Ioanis is a picturesque spot to consider. Daily buses run to and from the West Coast and there are lots of quiet walks you can take to enjoy the local scenery and just ten minutes to the deserted Kapari beach. The area itself is very busy in the day and it’s quite difficult to get a spot on the main crescent beach due to everyone coming down from the town. At night it can also feel very quiet and deserted so you may end up taking the bus in town most evenings.

Why Avoid Psarou
The beach can be overcrowded during the day, though not quite as crowded as Agios Ioanis but it does tend longer to get into town so primarily for people who are planning to spend most of their time in the area.
