The best holiday gifts for girl travellers
Struggling for travel Christmas gifts? Don't worry, I can totally understand. For years now my family and friends have been wondering what to get me for the holidays, and I always ended up with things I liked, but couldn't use for my travels. This year I want to help anyone in search of the perfect travel gift for their adventure lover friends. So here are my Christmas travel present ideas. I hope you find what you are looking for.
Icebreaker Women's Tech Thermal
For winter I need ways to keep warm and cosy, so I always wear a thermal as a base layer. I never go for synthetics, I only buy 100% merino wool thermals. They are pricey but I know people who kept them for 7 years! Yes, you heard this correctly, one thermal for 7 years. Why are they so awesome? Because no matter what you do with them, they don't smell bad. I hiked, ran and cycled like a mad woman in my thermal and at no point, I smelled bad. They also keep their shape and are pretty amazing for cold winter nights. I have one for my day use, one for hiking, one for skiing and one for sleeping. Can't recommend them enough. I promise, if you buy this to anyone, they will be the happiest.

The North Face Women Inlux Insulated Jacket
One thing I love getting for Xmas? Really warm jackets. It's usually hit and miss for family and friends as sometimes they buy me something I don't like as much, but recently, I've been advocating for North Face jackets, which look simple, stylish and are effective. My husband bought me my first ever North Face jacket before going on a trip to Scotland (during winter) and I've been loving the brand ever since. For the adventure girl, a North Face jacket is an absolute must this Christmas.

Karrimor Cordova Hiking Snow Boots
Is your travelling friend preparing for an adventure in the cold and snowy mountains? Lucky them! But they will need to stay warm and dry and that's why I think they should get an epic pair of boots. Here's the thing, it took me years to find the right pair of boots I can wear in the mountains. I used to practically live in the Carpathian mountains during my stay in Romania and I loved every single bit of it. BUT it is cold, and hiking through few metres high snow can be demanding and frankly, very cold. To have an epic experience, the perfect garments are key, and every adventure girl should have a great pair of snow boots.

If there is one Christmas gift each traveller needs, then we need to start talking cameras. It's awesome that you can take your phone out and snap that funny picture, but it comes a time when you want to go pro and snap that winter wonderland properly. I must confess, I sometimes spend hours just taking pictures during my travels, because I love looking back through my shots and remembering the good times. This year I receive my Fuji X-T10 camera from my husband as an early Christmas present. Best gift for travellers or what?

The best gift for a traveller is the mighty scarf. Why? Because I'm always freezing my bum off during long hauls and love to feel comfortable in a large hoodie and a super-sized scarf. What's great about a scarf is that it doesn't cost too much so you can buy one for each of your travelling friends. It comes in very handy no matter the season and it's super functional. I love scarves so much, I actually think I'm addicted to them.

I am crazy about watches, even though nowadays everyone uses their phones to check out the time. I will always be excited about seeing a contemporary watch, especially the ones with fabric or wood straps. Gosh, I love them. Naturally, I'm going to recommend this as a great gift for travellers. I absolutely love the colours. I think it's nice, sleek and perfect for any girl traveller. Come on, it's a great travel present!

I love, love, travel wallets. I'm usually so excited about getting a new travel wallet which fits my money, passport and papers. I recently discovered this awesome Busy B travel wallet and I haven't looked back since. Don't tell anyone, but I will be buying my best travelling friend one this year. I just hope she won't see this before Christmas!

If you have a travelling friend or you are a traveller yourself, then you know the pain of screaming children on planes, or loud drunken adults. Even if you're lucky with all these, you still have the engine background noise which can be difficult to get used to. The solution? These incredible headphones which have changed my life. They are expensive but durable and these are an investment which will last for years. If you care for your travelling friend, just give them the gift of silent nights.

Journal for all travel bloggers
I always take a notebook with me, anywhere I go. What if I stumble across an interesting person and I want to take their interview? What if I want to write down how I feel once I reached the top of the mountain? I think it's very important to offer the people the means to express themselves and I honestly believe that every traveller needs a notebook. The perfect travel gift.
